"The people at Consortium Hosting have been helpful, flexible and above all good at what they do. The designs are good, the turnaround is fast and the first question asked has always been, 'Is there anything else we can do?'" - Jon Collins, Faros Services

Custom Systems

Most businesses need computer systems to allow them to run more efficiently. Often, these systems are off-the-shelf packages which tend to be somewhat generic. Either they don't do exactly what you need them to do so staff waste time working around the shortcomings or you pay big bucks for a system which does far more than you need it to.

Consortium Hosting have years of experience building web based applications. But just because they use web technology, it doesn't mean they have to run on the Internet. They can equally be run in an office on a stand alone computer or across the company network. One of the wonderful things about web technology is that, for your staff to use the system, they just need a web browser.

We have built systems for companies such as Freshminds, one of the UK's fastest growing research companies, MP-Computers, a growing computer retailer and Goldenvale Dairy, one of the main distributors of milk in Wales.

How it works

The process is fairly simple:

  1. We initially discuss the exact requirements of the system. This can be done via email, the telephone or in person.
  2. A specification is drawn up in plain English. We try to avoid using computer jargon unless you are happy talking in computer jargon.
  3. If you agree the specification and the price, we'll go ahead and build the system for you. If not, we can either refine the specification or, if you prefer, we can go our separate ways.
  4. Once the system is completed and has been tested by both us and your company, we will help with the implementation.
  5. By this time, we should hopefully have developed a good working relationship so if there are any problems its a simple matter of giving us a call or dropping us an Email. We won't leave you in the lurch!
